Free Blood Pressure Screening in Paramus

PRESS RELEASE

February 7, 2017

Free Blood Pressure Screening in Paramus

The free screening program for hypertension will be offered again for all Paramus residents according to Judith Migliaccio, Borough Health Officer.  This health prevention program will be available on Friday, February 24th from 10:00 pm to 12:00 pm at Paramus Borough Hall. No appointment is necessary.

Most people with high blood pressure do not feel sick or have noticeable symptoms, but even without being aware of the changes, irreparable damage to the heart and other organs can occur.  Therefore, it is very important to have your blood pressure checked regularly, Mrs. Migliaccio added.  Hypertension is a treatable condition which can be monitored with the help of the Board of Health Nurses.

Board of Health member MaryAnn Uzzi invites residents to take advantage of this important health service.
