The Borough of Paramus provides free transportation for Senior Citizens who reside in the Borough. Over 100 residents use the services of the Senior Citizen Bus. The senior bus operates on a set schedule Monday through Friday with the exceptions of Borough holidays and inclement weather. Transportation is provided to Paramus malls, shopping centers, food stores, and Senior Citizen Building.
In addition, the senior bus does transportation to Our Lady of Visitation for Sunday Mass. We are looking to expand our services to the Paramus pool during pool season from May through September. The senior buses were purchased through a grant program and all maintenance and repairs are done by our mechanical division staff. Scheduling of the senior bus is handled through the Department of Public Works office.
